Meet The Team
Andrew Punzo
Partner
Andrew is a co-founder and managing partner of DCCS LLP. His practice focuses on surety (contract and commercial) and construction law. He advises and represents sureties, owners, contractors, and other industry participants across Canada in bonding and construction disputes, as well as on contractual and risk management matters.
His surety experience includes defaults and claims of any size or complexity. He is a go-to advisor for all bonding issues and has worked with virtually all sureties doing business in Canada. A large part of Andrew’s surety practice also includes navigating insolvency issues and pursuing rights of recovery.
Andrew is frequently engaged by new sureties entering the Canadian market and international sureties with Canadian exposure.
He serves on the Surety Association of Canada’s Ontario Regional Committee and, for more than five years, co-instructed its Construction and Surety Law course for the Associateship in Canadian Surety Bonding designation program.
He also maintains a broad construction law practice, advising public and private owners, contractors, and subcontractors on project disputes and risk allocation. His work includes complex disputes as well as contract drafting and negotiation across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Mark A. Borgo
Partner
Mark is a co-founder and partner of DCCS LLP. His practice focuses on construction law, with an emphasis on surety and construction-related insurance. He advises and represents sureties, insurers, owners, contractors, and other industry participants on a broad range of construction and commercial matters.
Mark regularly acts on matters involving surety bond claims, insurance claims, construction liens, negligence claims, recovery proceedings, and enforcement matters. He provides practical advice to clients facing both routine and complex disputes, with a focus on achieving efficient and commercially sound outcomes.
Mark has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
